an elle spokesperson confirmed that kate lanphear, elle's style director, is leaving the title, writing in a statement: "kate is an extraordinary talent and we thank her for her many contributions during her six years at ELLE. we wish her the best of luck in her next chapter." it is not yet known where lanphear will end up.
