the new h&m 'model off duty' collection was inspired by models joan smalls, daphne groenveld, lindsey wixson & liu wen & will be in stores mid-april.
the new icon collection will include leather jackets, denim cut off shorts, fringed bags, & great boots - everything you need to get the 'model off duty' look. looking good.....!
h&m confirmed today that they will launch a new chain in 2013 called "& other stories". h&m announced that it would be adding a higher-priced retail chain to its stable of brands (which include cos & cheap monday) last week.
the house was transformed into a marrakech fantasy.

the lovely kendall - so chic!
the most amazing bryan ferry.
pansy & matt on the way out.
the gift.
a big thank you to the lovely pansy from h&m for inviting me to an amazing party. it all took place in the famous lloyd wright house on franklin (once owned by the doctor suspected of killing the black dahlia). candles lit the pathways & were everywhere inside the house adding to the moroccan vibe.
i did some serious head spinning once inside....consuelo castiglioni, sophia coppola & her husband thomas mars, drew barrymore, rashida jones, milla jovovich (who told me i looked gorgeous!), tons of super models & i almost fainted at the sight of lou doillon who was more gorgeous & cool in real life than should be possible. the random sighting for the night was mel gibson.
the surprise of the night was the performance by bryan ferry! i had no idea he was playing the party. so suave & sexy! i (of course) stalked him around the party & when he left he passed by me & turned an inch from my face & smiled at me! i almost fainted. (thank godness there were witnesses!)
i got to meet the owner of the house & immediately grilled him on the "secret room" but never did find out where it was. one day. the house is as amazing inside as you would expect it to be. as we left the party we were given marni for h&m scarves as our parting gift.
it was at the top of my lists of best parties. a nice mix of l.a., sweden, italy, france & too many others to remember! i'm off to bed with dreams of bryan ferry in my head!
imogen poots directed by sofia coppola for marni for h&m. "i wanted to do something artful that would represent marni," coppola explains. the commercial was shot in marrakesh. the music is "avalon" by bryan ferry (swoon for mr. ferry).
h&m announced that its fall 2011 designer collaboration will be with one of the world's most legendary fashion brands, versace. designed by its creative director donatella versace, the exclusive collection will recall the heritage of the brand for both men & women as well as pieces for the home. the collection will be in select stores starting november 19th. a pre-spring collection will be available in countries with online sales starting january 19 (alas, not in the u.s. yet!) "i am thrilled to be collaborating with h&m and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. the collection will be quintessential versace, perfect for h&m and versace fans everywhere," says versace.
versace has looked back to the archives to reinterpret some classic versace designs. the womenswear collection will be dominated by dresses that express the spirit of the season, featuring studded leather, silk & colorful prints, as well as accessories including high heels & costume jewelry. the men's collection will focus on sharp tailoring, including the perfect tuxedo as well as belts & jewelry. for the first time in a designer collaboration at h&m, the collection will include homeware including pillows & bedspreads.
donatella versace wore one of the dresses from the collection at the versace men's fashion show in milan yesterday.
lanvin+h&m presented their high-end version of the collection last night at the pierre hotel in new york. walking the show were anna dello russo, dree hemingway, pixie geldof & asia chow. alber elbaz was there as well - he's just so squeezable.
although i love, love, love the collection i am curiously not that bothered to try to obtain any. maybe it's because i see the frenzy around me of people going nuts to get there hands on it. it's just a bit too much.
i was lucky enough to get the lipsticks and a pair of the super fab sunglasses (thanks to the fabulous pansy) and i am totally coveting pieces of the collection but i'm not willing to beg, borrow and steal for it. i think that anyone who is willing to stand in line all night long is more deserving of it & has earned it most definitely! let the frenzy begin!
