dreaming of other places

cuixmala is the legendary private estate of sir james goldsmith located on the mexican pacific. three kilometers of lush vegetation, golden sand beaches and lagoons surround a plethora of luxurious villas and private casitas. the estate includes its own organic farms, biosphere & protected habitat for endangered species.

la loma is the jewel of cuixmala. the house's cool white interiors float above a vast expanse of azure sea. exotic animals graze in the distance, lagoons are home to crocodiles & thousands of birds. panoramic views, soaring ceilings & quiet fountain courtyards create a fantasy hideaway.

casitas & villas offer an oasis of tranquility. villas are fully staffed with cooks and butlers while casitas are available in one, two & three bedrooms. while there, enjoy the unspoiled beaches, horseback riding, tennis, volleyball, mountain biking, golf and polo.

the chamela-cuismala biosphere reserve is the first in mexico to conserve tropical dry forest. the reserve has a protected area of 131.42 square kilometers dominated by a hilly topography. the reserve protects a combination of habitats, including 1200 species of plants, 270 species of birds, 70 species of mammals, 68 species of reptiles, 19 species of amphibians and many thousands of species of insects and invertebrates.  giant sea turtles return each year to lay their eggs on playa cuixmala where the eggs are gathered by the staff for protection. once the baby turtles are hatched, they are returned to the sea.

looks so beautiful and amazing!  wish i was there.
