isabella rossellini bvlgari bag

actress isabella rossellini, daughter of ingrid bergman & roberto rossellini has designed a bag for bvlgari. "my connection with bulgari dates back to when i was a child and i'd accompany my mother to the historic shop in via condotti in rome" she explained. "she loved bulgari jewels." the bag is available in several different materials including pony skin, carved patent leather & animal print leather with an art deco inspired clasp made of semi-precious stones such as tiger eye, aventurine & amethyst. the lining is printed with snails inspired by her ecological awareness short films, "green porno" (which are genius!).

bvlgari b.zero1 10th anniversary

in honor of bvlgari's b.zero1 collection's 10th anniversary, the label has teamed with celebrated sculptor, anish kapoor to design a band of reflective steel sandwiched between two pink gold rims. there is also currently a retrospective of kapoor's on view at the guggenheim bilbao. he plans to create a sculpture based on the bulgari collaboration that will be auctioned off this spring, with the proceeds benefiting save the children's "rewrite the future" campaign.
