apparently there was major drama at the show according to twitter....cameron silver tweeted that there was a rumor that they were still sewing a dress - 80 minutes AFTER the show was supposed to start.
also, peta was protesting outside. when they announced that there was still a 20 minute delay on the speakers an hour in, some editors & buyers left including grace coddington.
gaultier said his inspiration was fritz lang's metropolis as well as pete doherty who made his acting debut as a 19th century gentleman in "confession of a child of the century" that was screened at the riviera. gaultier said back stage that he was bowled over by the film, "i said, my god, he is so seductive, a decadent dandy."
