hélène amouzou

i'm so in love with these.
all photographs by hélène amouzou.

togolese photographer hélène amouzou photographs herself mostly in her attic. they are beyond beautiful - otherworldly, mysterious & a little melancholic.  the pictures reflect a constant quest to look into herself, searching for her own identity. born in togo in 1969, amouzou has lived in brussels for the past 14 years.

  2. Lovely work! Even though I'm Belgian, I hadn't heard of her before, so thank you for sharing. Her images remind me of one of my favourite photographers, Francesca Woodman.
