tree hotel

tham & vidgard designed this amazing tree hotel. it is located in the far north of sweden. the light-weight aluminum structure hangs around a tree trunk and is clad in mirrored glass. the interior is made of plywood and has a 360 degree view and includes a large bed, a small kitchenette and bath, a living room and roof terrace....hey p. let's go!!

feeling blue?

to mark the re-opening of dior's boutique at plaza 66 in shanghai, dior is launching a limited edition, 12 piece collection of iconic pieces in dior blue, which will be sold exclusively at the shanghai store. the re-opening coincides with the world expo and the dior cruise 2011 fashion show, which will be held in shanghai on may 15th. the dior blue collection includes: a dior mobile phone in sapphire crystal, a lady dior bag in blue calfskin, a mise en dior necklace in blue colored pearls and a graphic "dior lucky" scarf featuring a collage of house model lucky designed by john galliano.

rumors are that chanel favorite, lara stone missed the cruise show in san tropez yesterday because she is getting married this weekend to her fiance, comedian david walliams. speculation is that the wedding will be saturday, may 15, at claridge's in london. time will tell - internet rumors are always rampant with relationships so who knows? i like them together though!

sir ian's lucky coin

while sitting outside the theater in melbourne, where he is currently rehearsing waiting for godot, sir ian mckellan was mistaken for a homeless beggar! a passerby dropped a dollar coin into his hat as he sat on a bench. mckellan expressed his joy to the daily telegraph saying "i hope the melbourne audiences will be as generous. the dollar coin is now lodged between two drawing pins on the board above my dressing room mirror. my lucky talisman." love him!!

cave cay island

this beautiful private island in exuma, bahamas is up for sale at $110 million. the island, called cave cay, has a protected deep-water harbor & marina, a 2,800 ft. private airstrip & several buildings. the island is totally self sufficient with water & power supplied by diesel generators. at the highest point of the island is a luxurious owner's estate. neighbors include david copperfield, johnny depp, faith hill & tim mcgraw & nicolas cage (well only an island away!) if you have $110 million and a private plane to get you there, call christie's great estates (and then call me).

chanel resort 2011 - the clothes

there wasn't a lot to like for the resort collection - a few summery dresses and minis but overall....eh.

noemie lenoir found unconcious

model/actress noemie lenoir, who just walked in the louis vuitton fall show, was found unconscious in the outskirts of paris on sunday. the daily mail reports she "is believed to have taken a potentially deadly cocktail of alcohol and drugs" but is now recovering.
