the new york post and harper's bazaar australia are among the media outlets reporting that alexander mcqueen had been jilted by an unnamed lover. apparently he was nursing wounds from a nasty breakup with a lover, whose name was tattooed on him arm, just days before his mother's death. he told bazaar in an unpublished interview that the cad was "a bastard who went back to australia and i was left looking at his name." police said yesterday that "multiple notes" were found with his body that tried to explain his actions to friends....truly a man in despair.
