baby, it's cold outside

rick owens strong shouldered leather jacket $2,720
smythe puff sleeve equestrian jacket, $630
balmain tuxedo wool jacket, $3,985
but not that cold...it is southern california after all! that rick owens jacket kicks ass - it looks better on the body. i am a huge jacket fan - i think i have more blazers and jackets than anything else. they are such great investment pieces - always chic and timeless.

just another manic monday - part two
the gift bag was this amazing studded bag by jimmy choo for h&m
the gorgeous & lovely pansy toulou from h&m invited me to the jimmy choo/h&m party which took place in a beautiful house in the hollywood hills. the party was hosted by jeffrey katzenberg & tamara mellon along with the amazing h&m crew.
we drank watermelon cocktails and champagne & had the most delicious appetizers. we kept commenting on how hot & sassy all the wait staff were. they really looked as if they came from central casting - only in hollywood!
the party was packed with celebrity sightings....rupaul, cheryl tiegs, kate walsh, anthony kiedis, rashida jones, all the hiltons, harry hamlin & wife lisa rinna, sheryl crow, waris, brent ratner and on & on! m.i.a. performed several songs & brought along her adorable son - he had little earphones on and was so super cute.
after cookies were served we were given this great studded zebra bag as our parting gift.
the line is super cute - there were several pieces i already want - a pair of leather leggings and a sequined tunic were both great. i can see "the kids" wearing the fringed dress and jumpsuit... overall i think the line is really nice. and of course, the shoes!
i'm a huge fan of h&m and their collaborations are always top notch and jimmy choo for h&m will not disappoint!

start saving....

carla bruni-sarkozy sold her family castle, castello di castagneto po, near turin to billionaire saudi businessman prince alwaleed bin talal for between $12 million and $25 million in february. he has now relisted it with an affliliate of christie's great estates for $28 million. although the castle has been repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt over the years it is believed to date from the year 1019. her father, billionaire industrialist alberto bruni tedeschi, bought the estate in 1952 for around $1.5 million. the 40 room estate, 21, 000 sq. ft. and is surrounded by 175 acres and includes ancient greenhouses, a caretaker's house and a farm building.
if only i could find that $28 million....maybe it's in my other purse?

gypsies, tramps & thieves
you know i never give her credit for being such a huge influence on my style.....mostly it was patti smith and ava gardner but i'm reminded tonight of just how much i loved her as a kid.
day tripper

the itama fifty from ferrretti subsidiary itama.
this 50 footer is considered a day crusier but can accommodate up to 6 people in 3 cabins (you can host up to 12). it reaches speeds of up to 35 knots thanks to a twin MAN 800 mhp engine. that last sentence meant nothing to me.....but this one does: you can customize the interior....now we're talking!
