french revue de modes #15

iekeliene stange models one of my favorite collections ever, jill sander's fall 09 designed by raf simons. story is styled by simon rasmussen and shot by ralph mecke. i love the juxtaposition of the architectural lines of the clothing & the chaotic and rubble filled sets.

armani talks retirement

giorgio armani hinted at his retirement while in moscow this week. "i'm already organizing staff who will continue my work" he said. "of course i am not eternal, there comes a time when you must hand it over." having said that, the 75 year old then joked with reporters about his appearance, "you see how i am, i don't look bad yet, do i?" as you can see from an earlier picture of mr. armani he, indeed, doesn't look bad at all.

i have become slightly obsessed with these pointy, long fingernails (painted red, of course).....i wouldn't have the patience to have them done at a salon, nor could i grow them on my own...and if i did have them i'm sure they would only last 5 minutes! nevertheless, i love, love, love them! they somehow convey both fierceness and femininity all at once.
