looks like the designers are going all the way back in time for inspiration. lots of animal prints for pre-fall 2010...rawr.
daily visitors
these little guys visit me everyday. they are so beautiful! they make a little buzzing sound and are quite the little piggies....i make the sugar water for them & have gone through bags and bags of sugar. it's worth it though just to watch them. in the other window are finches and doves.

tan lines
everytime i see tan lines it brings a smile to my face. i remember as a pre-teen and teen the fascination of tan lines ... they seemed somewhat sexual, risque, grown-up. even though i haven't been "laid out" in ages i still secretly think tan lines are a little hot.
gentlemen prefer blondes
photographs of marilyn monroe appearing relaxed in a new york apartment nine months before she died were unveiled today after being held in a private archive for more than 45 years. photographer len steckler shot the black & white images of monroe when she unexpectedly arrived at his apartment in december 1961 to visit his friend, pulitzer-prize winning poet carl sandburg. steckler is offering them for sale as a limited edition series called "marilyn monroe: the visit."

i don't think steven meisel is doing madonna any favors with the photoshop. i mean, she's 51 and she looks fantastic - why make her look like a rubber sex doll? i can understand a little tweaking here and there but enough with erasing every ounce of character from someone. i'm not the hugest madonna fan but i think she looks fantastic in the before picture.
